"To tell a story with images, I look for what is interesting, funny and magical; what is extraordinary in the ordinary. Amidst the posed shots of knowing faces, are those genuine vignettes of life that happen "in between."
These are the treasured photos, the moments I seek out."

My love of photography began over 20 years ago, and it never ceases to amaze me that when I am behind my camera I feel completely in my element. Whether at a wedding, or doing portraits of children, I approach each photo shoot with an open mind, a bit of humor, and an eagerness to capture a slice of people’s true personalities. I am drawn to people in relation to their environments, and the inherent narrative that is told through a series of images.
For the last 10 years, I have been photographing weddings and portraits in Seattle. Prior to starting my photography business, I graduated from Evergreen State College where I completed a digital photography internship. I photographed for various college publications and worked extensively in the photo department. I’ve also assisted for other photographers, worked at a digital production lab, and was a custom black and white printer for many years. I shoot both digitally and with film, using a variety of Canon and Mamiya cameras/lenses.
